Breaking Super 8 First Class

This is IT!! Trailer for Breaking Dawn Part 1 is up, and I, for one, could not be more excited!! This dress is seriously, going to be more guarded than Duchess Kate's dress (which while looking at pictures of it again, she did look marvelous)!! I'm really stoked for part 1, so I'm re-reading it up until the part where I think it'll split, when she "dies".

Anyway, I was watching the tv spot to the new film coming out, Super 8, and I have to admit, I kind of want to watch it. I mean, I was hesitant at first, but I shouldn't have been. This is JJ Abrams we're talking about here, and I shouldn't have put my doubts in front of what clearly seems to be a stellar track record (hehe, stellar). But I for some reason, had my reservations and after watching this trailer, I couldn't remember why.

Now let's go back to what I really wanted to discuss, which was X-Men First Class. I wanted to discuss how WICKEDLY AWESOME it was. Everything about it was well done. The acting, the filming, the directing, the screenwriting, the plot, the producing, everything. I'm really sort of hoping it's going to do better at the world box office, cause the US hasn't been showing it the love it so RIGHTEOUSLY deserves, so here's to hoping. This movie had everything I enjoy about a film. I couldn't really pinpoint one bad thing about it (except for Rose Byrne's Moira McTaggert. She could've been more serious than girly, but all in all she wasn't really that bad). I mean, January Jones's Emma Frost was just the epitome of her name...frosty. I wholeheartedly enjoyed James McAvoy. He makes me believe that he's the characters he portrays, that he really was a doctor in the late 70's in Africa in The Last King of Scotland. I really believed he was an assassin in Wanted. I also believed he was Tom LeFroy, the man who stole Ms. Jane Austen's heart in Becoming Jane. I just....he's exceptional to me. Atonement was incredible. Michael Fassbender made me like Magneto! I was just really impressed, and I rarely get inpressed with a film. I may praise it as good, but this one's earned my respect, much like The Adjustment Bureau. Congrats, Matthew Vaughn.

Girl With a Dragon Tattoo

I don't know what the big hype is about--I haven't read the book yet. But after watching this trailer, I might just have to.

Creepy....

I actually am kind of afraid of watching this trailer, which means this film is going to be AWESOME!!!!!! It's a remake, but it's Guillermo Del Toro. I have to respect him because he's one of the few directors who created a likeable sequel to a fantastic film--Hellboy and Hellboy 2.
